Has anyone figured out how the filesystem of a 9900 works yet?
I can access the filesystem in bitpim and qpst, but nothing usefull shows, no ringer directory, no brew directory, no pics directory...
anyone have any luck?

okay, tinkering around in gagin, I see what is essentually, I think, the BREW directory, there is a ringers folder, but no brewringer index file.
adding a ringer to the ringer folder doesnt work..
any ideas on how I can see the ENTIRE filesystem?

Still NOTHING out there that will let us do that.
GAGIN shows a ringer directory, but I've tried uploading to that folder (various file sizes, names, sounds, etc, just incase one was wrong) and then checked the ringtones folder, the voice-memos folder, and even any other 'media' folders I could find on the phone, and could not find the files I uploaded or anyway to assign those ringtones.
I just have no idea how to get that to work man, I'm sorry. I'd help if I could.

Maybe it works like it's predacessor, the cdm9500. With that phone, you had to have a downloaded(from gin) ringer or wallpaper. This would show up in the folder, then when you want to upload a ringer, for example, you would name it EXACTLY as the ringer on the phone, replacing the one already there.

Bump for hopeful progress...

You say there is an index file? Is there a way to crack open the index file and see what it shows? Maybe it needs an entry in there to be able to display the files.

Just bumping to see if this is still the way it stands. No way to get pics from the 9900 to the computer with a data cable? If that's the case, I don't want to bother buying one as that's the only thing I wanted to do with it. Thanks!
