Hi all,
I have decided to downsize my gadget collection, and I find my MPx220 is the one I use the least so I want to sell it. Since this is my first cell phone, and I am in a contract with AT&T, I have some questions:
1) If I pull my SIM card can I use it in another phone and preserve my number?
2) Will my contract be in default if I change phones?
3) Is it ok to sell a used phone with no SIM, what do I need to state when I sell it, the carrier, etc?
Thanks

Yes. Just check that the other phone is unlocked for any SIM card as opposed to locked to one carrier.
2) Will my contract be in default if I change phones?
No.
3) Is it ok to sell a used phone with no SIM, what do I need to state when I sell it, the carrier, etc?
You usually state that the phone has been used and, most important, if the phone is locked or unlocked to a specific carrier.

Should I make the effort to get the phone unlocked before I try and sell it?

Yeah, it increases the price and alot of buyers on ebay and etc... look especially for unlocked phones.

Try a SIM card from another carrier.
