Does anyone know how to synch contacts that I have in Outlook to the phone? I don't have any contacts on the MPX220 and when I try to synch with my computer it deletes all the contacts I have in Outlook and my phone remains contact-less. Any ideas?

are you using activesync? check the settings for syncing contacts with activesync. it should work hassle-free

Yea, i'm using ActiveSync 3.7. I checked the setting for contacts and didn't see anything about going from PC to phone, it just says synch phone to PC. I believe the way it synchs is it checks updates according to time. I might save all the contacts again to try to update the time on them, hopefully since my contacts were created after the numbers in the phone were erased this might help. I'll see what happens, is there another setting i'm missing?

in ActivSync, go to options, rules and select the appropriate settings. That should do it.

Start by setting up a new Partnership. First delete the existing Partnership. Then when you connect the phone, you will be prompted to create a new Partnership. From that point on, however, whenever you use ActiveSync it will add/remove entries based on what is/not on your PC.

If it's deleting contacts, it actually sounds like it's syncing, but it thinks the phone (with no contacts) is more up to date than the PC. I would be curious if you keyed in a new contact on to the PC, will it replicate to the phone (and visa versa)?

Also, I think the idea of setting up a new partnership is a good one.

so, did you succeed in synching your Contacts and Calendar from your Outlook? I just spend 8 hours with Motorola and Cingular technicians and they basically punted.

I have a very large Contact list and a large calendar on my pc that I would like to synch, but it just stalls out using the ActiveSynch software that came with the mpx220.

I would really like to hear solutions ...

It should just be smooth sailing. I have an extensive outlook file myself and Activesynch has always been smooth sailing on the Pocket PC and now the MPx220. Can you tell us a little bit about your setup - exchange server or just PC, maybe delete the partnership and start over. Make notes of your choices and post them here. Are you running any pluggins in Outlook like the outlook backup plugin? I had a serious conflict with that before and ended up removing it.
