i try all phone type and not work, i can view file system and directory list, also i can create sub-directory, but i can't make new file and overwrite file.

Posted by: albertguevch

I have the same problem with my SE44 but only when i try to put pictures in "mypictures" directory....I can put mp3's and other kind of files without a problem in any other directory but in "mypictures" i can't put files at all....please help me!!!!!

Posted by: albertguevch

forget it.....i figured out a way to put png's in the SE44 using the "Shared" folder of the Brew directory....

Posted by: halcon10

how you do that?, i can't put image file, tell me instructions

Posted by: albertguevch

I've created a "New Directory" called "Shared" into the existent "Brew" directory....then I just put the images in png format in that directory and they appear into the "My Pictures"...

hi bros!
i had read a your post in this forum about somebody having trouble with uploading images to kyocera se44.
i have the usb data cable for the se47 model (Brand: Dr.Cable), and i wanna know if is true that that can realize making a new folder in Brew directory named SHARED and copying PNG files to here.
did you do that???
it works?
what about Kyocera Phone Desktop features with SE47? i have the bitmip 0.7.12? that happens with that model?

i'll thank you any help you can bring to me.

Hey wazzup bro'....you're from vzla too...nice...

well the thing of creating a new folder named SHARED worked for me....I used to have a SE47 and actually I bought the UBS Cable for that cellphone...Now I have a SE44 and it works perfectly fine....I can put mp3's and png's without any problem...

I don't know what Kyocera was thinking when they created the Phone Desktop, it seems usless, at least for me...i don't use at all that software....I only use BitPIM 0.7.24 for the transfer of files from and to the phone...

If you have more question just ask...hehe...you can send me an email...to albertguevch@netscape.net if you want to....

c ya....

thanks a lot, now i can put image and music files without problem using bitpim 0.7.24 and SE44
the rule is:
use the directory name (ringer) for mp3 o mid or any other support sound
create the sub-directory "shared" into "brew" directory and put the png's image file
thats all

thanks again to this forum and all people here.

Ok, I've been following these forums for a couple weeks now here and there waiting for my SE44 to show up. (bought it off ebay) I have a USB data cable that I can read the phone's "filesystem" with but can't transfer my phonebook. Is this normal? I've tried all kinds of combinations, uninstalling, re-installing, deleting, and rebooting that I can think of from all the posts on this webpage. I am currently running bitpim 0.7.24 and recently downloaded the usb driver stated in this post. (I also tried the one that came with the cable) I am also setting to read as LGVX4400 (as well as tried others) I can go in to /,user,contacts,user.dat, open it up and see that there are phone numbers there but when I try to "get phone data" I get nothing? Am I doing something wrong? I mean I'm not computer illiterate or anything. Not familiar with this software, is there somewhere that I can learn more? I am starting to feel quite dumb and that sucks...................any help appreciated. Oh yeah, I know I found some midi websites, but are there any that you might suggest that are free until I get the hang of this thing?
Thanks

what about the file nombers for the PNG graphics? some restriction?

Posted by: albertguevch

you don't have any restriction to the numbers nor the names of the png's pictures...
