Short and to the point:

I want a bluetooth phone that I can use to connect my laptop and pda wirelessly through a high-speed network (1x, t-mobile, att&t - I don't care).

1. Do ANY carries have such a phone? Which ones?

2. And can I connect to their high-speed network in this manner?

I have thought of the merlin card or the sierra wireless card but prefer a phone that I could leave in my pocket while I am using my laptop or pda (which would obviously have blue tooth also).

In that case you could choose from: SE T68i, Nokia 6310i/8910/7650 or Phillips 820 - those might be UK model numbers but I'm sure you have equivelent models. i've got the T68i and it's the one I'd go for, but if your feeling flash go for the 8910!
