SX66 Losing Phone Signal

I have had the SX66 for about 3 weeks. I like it, but periodically I realize that I have no telephone signal. What I have found that if I remove the battery, then reinstall it, when the unit comes back up, my signal is restored. I had the same problem when I initially made the purchase, and exchanged it. Same problem on both phones. I also added a bluetooth headset. When setting that up, I could get it recognized. The solution was again to remove the battery to reset. Should I be doing a "soft reset" instead of removing the battery?

Interesting commentary. I have noticed that I occassionally lose my data connection and have to stop IE and start it again to continue browsing.
