has anyone sucessfully reflashed their phone after getting a fs_dir error message? I need to know before i try it.

did you do that again to your phone? lol hehehehehe

i have tried a lot of times and killed my phone every time. i dont suggest you do it in winxp you can get BSOD errors

theres a few other programs that can flash a phone, but none have worked for me on my xp box....

ok thanks. the lady at the verizon store said that re-flashing it won't work at all. basically getting a fs_dir problem means that you just completly fried your phone. she couldn't even get my contact list off the phone it was fried so bad. so yeah. we'll see.

well the lady at the vz store is not completely informed and wrong
when you have a sw issue like that it automatically goes into download mode, ready for a flash. if it was fried it wouldnt do sh*t...believe me i have phones that are so fried the eeprom doesnt even light the keypad, its a bunch of plastic and metal...
it is NOT beyond repair, it just takes a good working system that isnt gonna fry your phone, like having a usb cable that also charges your phone, or a true serial cable, and a win98 box with good working drivers installed

well they said all the data was unrecoverable and anyways, they replaced it again for free. hahaha.
