T-Mobile and PDA2K and MMS

Well I got the PDA2K today. I got everything setup. GPRS works wonderfully, and I setup all my e-mail accounts etc. However, I can't get MMS to go, and I think I'm missing something silly, because my 6315 uses WM2003 while the PDA2K uses WM2003SE, and the MMS composer application is different.
I've found all the necessary information here, and pdaphonehome, but I can't get it to go. Right now, I have one connection setup, it's the GPRS connection. I haven't setup a WAP connection or anything else yet. Do I need to?
Someone here must be using the PDA2K on T-Mobile with MMS .. what am I missing??

AFAIK, you can only sent MMS across the "wap.voicestream.com" APN.
If that's not your main APN, then you need to add it someplace else and setup your MMS composer to use that to connect to the MMS server...

I am at EXACTLY the same point. I have my GRPS connection working perfectly. Email is sending and receiving great. But, when I tried to setup a connection for MMS it keeps failing.
Does anyone have the MMS setting for I-Mate PDA2K on T-Mobile USA? Does anyone currently have it working? If so please post your setting for us all.
Thanks,
Lije

OK good news! After further testing and playing I have figured out the setting to get MMS to work on the I-Mate PDA2K for T-Mobile in the USA.
Go to: Start>Settings>Connections tab
Select: Connections
Select: Advance tab
Select: Select Networks button
Select New... button under the first dropdown
On the General tab
Name: T-Mobile WAP (or whatever you want to call it)
On the Modem tab
Select: New... button
Connection Name: WAP
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Select: Next button
Access Point Name: wap.voicestream.com
Select: Next button
Select: Finish button
Be sure to reselect your previously working GRPS connects in both the dropdowns if they are changed to the new WAP ones. The new ones will only be used by your MMS application.
Select: OK and close the settings
Next we setup the MMS Application to use the new WAP connection we just created.
Select: Start>Messaging
Select: Tools menu at the bottom of the screen
Select: MMS Settings...
On the Preferences tab
Connect via: T-Mobile WAP (or whatever you called it in the previous setup)
I didn't need to change any of the other settings
On the Servers tab
Select: New button
Server Name: T-Mobile USA
Gateway: 216.155.165.50
Port Number: 9201
Server address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Size: 250k (you might set this smaller)
Select: OK
Select the T-Mobile USA entry and set is as default by pressing the Set As Default button
Select: OK
Give it a try and see if it works for you as good as it does for me.

Yes, that worked. Thanks a ton! I knew I was missing something (I thought it would have worked over the GPRS connection (internet2.voicestream.com), I didn't realize it had to go thru the WAP gateway. All is working well now. Thanks for the assistance!!

FWIW, if you have a $19.99/month Internet plan, you should be able to use "wap.voicestream.com" as your only APN and still be able to access everything like you did with "internet[2,3].voicestream.com".
Although this link talks about the 6315, it's worked with my JAM, SP3 and PPC PE.

Thanks for the info. I did setup a WAP connection and tried MMS, and it worked fine. I'm continuing to use the internet2 APN for GPRS. Thanks.

Actually, I have the Unlimited Internet with VPN service for $19.99/month. I have tried to use the WAP connection wap.voicestream.com for everything and it didn't work. I could use most things but it didn't work for MSN Messenger and something else but I can't remember what it was. I have a GPRS connect setup to use internet3.voicestream.com (since I needed the VPN access) and I have everything but MMS use it and everything works great with it.
