My problem is whenever I flash my Razr V3c it works at first but when it is rebooted it starts powercycling again. I am using RSD lite becasue I can't get PST to work right. This same thing happened when I had verizon to flash it. I don't know if maybe I just messed up my phone too much.

Nevermind it turns out I didn't need anyones help. After finding the rght monster flash for my razr I flashed it succesfully with RSD Lite and then upgraded to a leaked version of Verizons firmware GATW_01.15.04P I am thinking of just flashing to alltels firmware so thanks for nothing of course its not like anyone reads this thread anymore anyway, right...

Please Help ME. My E398 Dead.
I have flashed my E398 with MFF to Abatasya.shx . I was successfully backup my phone with FlashBackup2.5 full, PSD and Boatloader. and also success convert to Abatasya. All app include Itunes work well.
The keypad getting error. I restore my phone backup in FB2.5 Then I ask Motorola Service Center to fix it.
After finish i try to flash again. without making backup anymore. and successfull convert with Abatasya.shx . Then i try to restore my backup again.
When I restore with FB2.5 the progress in my PC is normal. But i can't see "SW Upgrading" in my phone. After finish. I turn on my phone but nothing happen. My Phone's dead. I try using FB2.6 to restore but message apear " Aborted! Wrong IMEI! "
I flash to Abatasya.shx again with FB2.6 and success
I turn on my phone. wellcome screen apear for 2-3 second before immediately off.
now my phone just can load bootloader.
I know from FB in my new PSD backup, i have BLANK IMEI.
Please I NEED YOUR HELP.
What should I do to bring my E398 live again..

After PDS Process for iTunes, my E398 shows BL Screen, but not show SW Version and Status of Battery/USB Cable, and not connect to MMF and Flash Backup.
the battery is full, i´m using the battery of my other already modded E398. MMF, Flashbackup and P2k cannot detect the dead E398. The BL Screen shows something like this:

Nothing More! Maybe Testpoint method will work in my case? Tnx!

okay my phone (v300) is detected but I can't flash...

the bootloader doesn't come up but it's detected as a Secure Neptune yada yada yada.....

is it possible to fix this?

If your phone is detected, proceed with normal flashing, or restore a backup.

I think so, BL mode sometimes works even if you don't se anything in the screen,

Connect your phone to teh cable and turn it into BL mode with * # PWR, if the computer detects the phone as a Flash Interface or S-Blank the phone bootloader is working even if you don't read anything on the screen.

if this works, then Flash a correct monster pack for this phone.

if Bootloader mode doesn't works at all, then you will have to make a test point, and flash a full monster pack after the phone has been detected as S-Blank and the testpoint rmoved, use RSD Lite for this.

if you created a PDS backup then Restore the PDS BAckup with a testpoint made and then go to BootLoader mode and flash a monsterpack.

if non of this works, make the testpoint and try p2k easy tool or Moto Repair Studio to Repair teh PDS zone of your phone, then flash a Monster PAck to the phone when it powers into bootloader mode.

I was flashing alltel monster the characters @something seen after downloading mot boot I pulled out the cable now the phone doesnt even get into bootloader mode even with #*power only keypad lits up nothing on screen nothing recognised with flashflex or rsd

I couldn't get me Moto Studio Repair to work for me...it wouldn't load.

You must get Motorola Repair Studio DEMO, the Demo version allows for reparing PDS on some models, the full version requieres a license or something, that's why it doesn't load.

people, this thread seems to be dead...

Finally I got a GOT_MOTO Subscription, the claim to fix PDS area on POG Rainbow phones, and they really do, but...

I tried to fix the PDS on 2 v980M, GOT says it has done so sucessfully, one of the phones just wake up as usual, and it's unlocked, all works fine, but, the Cursor keys are screwed, if I press UP it does nothing, and if I press up+right it goes down, I think this should be resolved Flashing the phone with a monster pack, but for some reason the phones doesn't wants to be flashed, it gives JUP Error or ERASE Error, anybody has any solution for properly flashing the phone.

if I make a testpoint I cn't flash either...

the other phone repaired the PODS area correctly and it goes into bootloader mode whan I press * # PWR, bu there is no way to wake him up, this phone in particular was flashed by myself before it went dead, and now, I don't know how to reflash it again with a lower firmware, anyone has an idea?

I got a second hand V3 from my dad, everything works fine except the screen has completely died and I can't see anything but black. Is there anything I can do to fix it at home? or is it a job for our local phone doctor?

After using QPST and disconnecting my v3m from my computer, it will not get a signal and the computer will not recognize it. I did not mod anything while in QPST, however, I may have disconnected the phone too early after exiting QPST and the phone was restarting. It appeared that the phone was finished resetting, but now it will not get a signal. Everything else works. I can get bootloader, but the phone is still not recognized. I tried pulling the battery but that didn't work either. Is there another way to get the phone back online?

Well, if you make a fullbackup of your pohones before starting to play, start flashbackup and restore it.

otherwise, open a monsterpack with flashbackup and Flash only CodeGroup2 (CG2) Flex. this will erase all of the information stored in your phone... so, you've been warned.

By the way, the above solution is for teh case the mobile is in mass storage style. if it's not in mass storage and youc an access the phone's file system with MCK , then, get someone else's mma_ucp file and copy it to your phone.

i flashed my motorola rizr z3 with R4527_G_08.12.10R_B_mlp_mdrm_DC through rsd lite and it told me to manually power up my phone. i tried this, but my phone wont turn on. i plug the phone into my computer and the charge light flashes once and then... nothing. i tried the *+#+power to go to the bootloader, but nothing happens. what do i do?

hello bought an unlocked v635 phone the other day. Uploaded some games and pictures. When the charger is connected to the phone the screen goes white and flashes and when I push the off button for a while the hellomoto splash screan appears and dissapears. After that it goes black sometimes I can see black lines. Could see my wallpaper this morning but now it doesnt do anything anymore. When the charger is NOT connected the screen is just dead black. Once in a blue while I can push the off button and the hellomoto screen appears once. PC wont recognize the phone, says that it doesnt recognize the device. God I just spent 160 $ and now this. Can someone please help me, maybe drop me a PM so we could exchange messanger ID...if someone would be up for that and would help me fix it I would be willing to give the person 20 $. I just dont know what to do =/

Need help reviving my v635 after a bad flash.

Here are the symptoms: doesn't power up even with */#/power, but shows up as Blank Neptune in MultiFleshFlex. That message stays on only while I'm pressing the power button. Once I release the button, the message disappears. Does it mean that my battery is dead?

I have several Full backups made with FlashBackup 2.62, but wasn't able to load either of them, b/c the phone would disconnect once I release the power button.

Hello, everybody! I killed a Motorola V600: i flashed Triplets 58R and then i choosen the option repair pds in p2k easytool program. The phone is dead, i tried to flash 38R and 72R, and 58R again, the phone is dead. It only goes in flash mode by pressing the three famous keys. I have no smartclip, nor ultima box light, but i can make a test point on the phone. I don't know what to do anymore. Who can help me? I need some explaination, some link, some guide... some word...

Well here's my situation.

My brand New, literally brand new. Moto Red RAZR V3m (CDMA) was dropped from the trunk of my Honda Accord (a low to the ground drop...) about 2ft. I opened it back up and the screen was white, and scrambled, no visible damage to the exterior phone, or the screen. The phone will no longer power on, and I read somewhere online that a chip becomes loose? And causes the video issues. True?

I opened the phone up, reseated the connectors, but no luck, I can see the circuit board on the display now, what do I do next?

I searched but I haven't been finding this issue, although I'm told it's common. My RAZR is for Sprint. I would get it fixed under warrantee but I don't want to ship it, and the nearest service center is 200 miles away.

Please help!

ok guys, i've got a good one.. a friend of mine bought a u from a dealer where i live and it started givin him some trouble, so he did a master reset and that's when everything hit the fan! the screen went blank even though it was on, and you could still make calls, change ringers (cuz i kinda knew the menu by keypress), but all that showd on the screen was the signal and battery icons, no menu.. nothing.. so he saw me doin some stuff on my old e398@ROKR in work and downloaded some MP and flashed the hell outta his phone! Needless to say he didn't make any backups and after that it stopped working completely, not even giving the hellomoto splashscreen, he tried carrying it back to them but they said he'd warranty just like i told him it would. he just dumped it on my desk and said "do whatever you want!".. i gotta admit i was kinda exctied to have it, its been a while since i've had a moto cuz i traded up my e398 for a SE W850i (gorgeous phone, but modding it is just too complicated) well i poked around for the past week, reading through all the post for days cuz, i ended up using a combination of testpoints and cuz MFF kept crapping out on me everytime i tried uping any flases on it and easy p2k tool kept hanging when i tried to use the repair PDS function cuz the phone would power down half-way through... so i ended up using easy p2k tool and flashbackup 2.5 simultaneously to extract a pds backup and flash it using a u6 fullflash i found on 4shared. and now i'm gettin the splashscreen and to come up even though its still power cycling though.. so i think the PDS is corrupt... but i managed to get it saved on my pc, question is anybody out there knows how to repair or rebuild it, cuz i donthave smartclip or anything..

Go to the GSM online site - otherwise known as GOT - google for it as I doubt I can post the web address.. Download teh software GOT_MOTO.exe & SureGOT.exe, register and pay like US$5.00 for a 24 hour period. After you will receive confirmation ID's and then be able to repair your PDS, and anything else you like..

My problem is the folowing: I flashed my V551 with a Monsterpack, before that i sutied the whole proccess first but a the time i downloaded the file i messed up and downloaded a file that is meant for the V3 Series, so i ended up with a semi-dead V551.

Description:

Now every time that i trun the phone on it stays in flash mode.
It shows the boot loader version and the SW version R374_G_0E.42.10R
(it should be a R472 i know)
The thing is that it won't let me do any thing, not even charge the battery, it allows me to flash it again but the SW version wont change after the Flash proccess, i have tried with many Monsterpacks(R742 ones), but can't make any changes.

You neeed to repair the PDS then flash it with amonster pack for V551.Untill your repair the PDS , nothing you do will matter

, acctually i went to my local motorola service center and after i detaildy explain exactly what i did to my phone to the technician, they will fix it for 10 bucks, so i think i'll go with that option for now cuz otherwise it would be harder to find some one with a Smart clip around here.

I guess i'll have to learn from the lesson this time

Glad you can afford to pay for fixing, some people has not this ability or live n countried like mine, where there is no MOTOROLA SERVICE CENTERS.

Another free way would be to make a Test Point and try to repair PDS with p2k Easy Tool 3.7
then flash a monsterpack for v551(Not only r472) with RSD Lite

I posted this in another section also before finding this on the site. Not sure if what you are discussing here is what has happened to me, but maybe you can offer some help.

I have a motorola E815 phone. The other night all of the sudden it would say 'unable to charge'. I powered it off and turned it back on and now I cannot do anything with the phone. Once powered on, a screed comes up with the motorola logo and at the bottom in white letters it says: bootloader USB INIT

Verizon has no idea what it is and said my phone is junk now and nothing can be recovered.

I figure if anyone has seen this before and has idea of what happened, it would be you guys/gals.

Let me know if you have any info.

OK.. for all those who are tired of hearing about novices needing help.. I did not try to flash, flex or in any other way manipulate my V300. I took a call and a few minutes after hanging up wanted to make a call and found my screen dull gray. I tried turning the phone off and on. Put in a freshly charged battery and tried all that again and again. I could get it to occasionally light up to a blank white screen and the outside LCD to display a dull blue box, as well as, have it issue the occasional chirp. Since I work with computers and help lots of people with them, I am always harping on the importance of backing up. So, of course, I never did.

I guess I figured since I am the one urging this, I surely must be immune to a crash of any sort. ; )

I really expected this phone to last more than 3 years.. naive I know! However, I have a mess of phone numbers on the phone's memory, along with some photos, all of which I'd dearly love to recover. I'm also curious if this behaviour suggests the phone is totally dead or can be repaired.

I have tried to access it with my OEM branded and aftermarket cables and a very old version of Motorola Phone Tools, as well as the current version. While my WinXP computer detects the unit as a V300, it always fails to install drivers for it and MPT completely fails to detect the modem or acknowledge the phone is attached. I am not sure if this means the cables are both bad or if there is something seriously amiss with the phone. The old version of MPT has never been able to detect the phone, even when it was working fine.

Any light anyone can shed on my quandary would be sincerely appreciated. I would most like to know if there is any way of recovering my phone numbers and photos. The rest is just interesting.

same problem here. My phone messed up while I was putting skins on it. I never ever tried flashing or flexing b/c I was scared of bricking the phone

If it is getting stuck at startup and you are not able to go any further then try following,

Download Smartmoto 1.23 and install on your pc and run it while you follow below mentioned steps

Download a relevant firmware for your phone on your pc and store in a known folder

Download USB drivers OR USB Patch for your motorola device, This can be found on motocoder.com (Recent release i could get was named Motorola Driver Version 2.9.0.0) Install this files also on PC

Connect your phone (switched off) with USB cable to your PC

Now press * key and power ON button at one time (for most phone and for Moto A92x press two game buttons and power ON at one time) -- This will take you to Bootloader of your phone

Now Run Motorola Driver Install and select Clean and Reintsall and press Start then when it finished pres Exit

Now disconnect your phone after a while and restart PC

Run the Smatmoto and reconnect the phone and it in Bootloader mode

You shall see Device / Phone detected in smartmoto

Go to PCFlash on left hand menu

Using Brows select the latest firmware which you downloaded and stored in known folder for your phone

Hit write flash on Smartmoto and wait for it to finish the Job

When done disconnect the phone and restart it and Hope it should work if you done everything right

**** Be Carefull****

Find a relevant firmware

Do all these on your own risk

Battery should be fully charged

SIM Card and Memory Card should be removed before doing anything

Search different forums and get better idea about what you gonna do

I have a Moto RAZR2 V9, which has a tendancy to turn off by itself and the only way to power it back on is to connect the charger to it. The power button will not work, just the active charger. By the way, the battery is fully charged. The moment the charger is connected the phone powers on and stays on for a few hours, then shuts off again, etc. Is this the flash/flex issue or pure hardware? Thanks

It sounds certainly to be a power issue.. Personally I would say its the power IC chip which puts it into hardware..

It IS not possible to load PST fully into a newer OS PC. I have pretty much every bit of software possible loaded up on two different PC's and only on one did the flash back to OEM Verizon worked but the flash got hung up and now I just get:
"garbled" screen
bright screen
black screen
or that "Verizon" logo
when I try to power up.
There has to be another way aside from using MMF, how about RSD?

motorola v330 only enters bootloader if i shortcircuit the pins. however it doesn't stay on it cuts off after abot 1 minute so it is impossible to flash. i tried fb3, p2k easy tool, rsd lite (it doesn't show up at all in rsd). i even tried just flashing a bootloader to cut the time, still no luck. can you help me?

I have a SLVR L7 that I flashed with the incorrect firmware and now it won't event go into bootloader mode. Is there anything that can be done or is it toast?

you need to test point then use P2keasy tool 3.9 to repair PDS then flash it with the right MP to fix it

No it doesn't. It is a pure software solution to get to S Blank Neptune. You should read through the article, it's very interesting. However, your phone does need to be able to boot into bootloader mode for this method to work.

I know . this method is out for year now nothing new but to fix your fone , your case you need to test point because your foen is totally dead is can not be turn on in boot loader mode is it not?? so test point is what you need to do.

I tried to send an mp3 to the ring tone on my v9m using p2k commander and it froze up in the middle of the process, when i tried to turn on my phone the verizon text appear but a sec. later i just have a plain blue screen.

if the phone is dead and won't go to bootloader mode you can do a "force bootloader mode" trick; remove the battery, press and hold # + * and then insert the battery. if done correctly the phone should be in bootloader mode without you having to press the power button.(bootloader mode my not show on the phone so connect the phone to your computer before so you can hear when it's detected)

I was at this persons status until I tried Motorola Repair Studio demo.
here is my latest worse status.

In my attempt to repair I am afraid I have made one of them
worse. I ran the demo Motorola Repair Studio and clicked repair.
Now the phone does not even come up (display wise) in boot mode
yet if I hold the #+* power button I can get a "connect" message
with software I use. So all might not be lost at this time.

I am using this phone to learn with so I am not upset with my
results. I was given 2 of these. The other V600 is buggy and
many times I have to remove the battery to fix it. For example
the only way I can tell its charging is I turn it on then connect
the charger I can see the charging indicator. If its off and I plug in
the charger nothing happens.

I am willing to try some drastic things with the other dead phone.

hi ya, I'm trying to make a cable for serial connection. So I borrowed this E398 (also works for v60) cable off a friend.

The 3 pins that I need are TX, RX and GND. Qn is: as long as I short the 4 pins mentioned in that website, I can get communication on 3.3v? Because I'm not sure whether the E398 cable has a USB-RS232 convertor chip built in.

Hello there. Last night my Vivo v3c (flashed to bell) went crazy after an moto software update (soft resetting every 3 seconds). After five re-flashes with diferent firmwares, i found a working on. Here is it:
1-Download ALT_V3c_04.06.00R_PRIhh70919_MONSTER_01.zip
2-Enter flash mode. Connect your phone;
3-Start MultiFlashFlex.exe and select Enable Flash. Find the ALT_V3c_04.06.00R_PRIhh70919_MONSTER_01.shx
4-Start it and wait! you probably will see something like flashing mini boot code and the phone screen my get corrupt like mine got when it is near 80%. Dont worry.
5-When MultiFlashFlex says Successful, click exit and WAIT till your phone reboot automaticaly.
Done.

Now you just have to fix the services.

I have a V3i here that a friend recently tried to flash with something (no idea).

When i attempt to turn it on the keypad just flashes for a second

Ok, I kind of figured out how but, not yet. I just download flash and backup 3. But now my phone won't connect to the computer? It pops up with a new hardware installation but it doesn't install.
Also, I can't seem to find the right flash and flex files.

Never done this before so, a little confused.

Try going to modmymoto, register and search software for driver paskage for the phone. Also search for RSD lite 3.4 or later.. You can then open RSD lite when in flash mode and the additional drivers needed will be installed.. You can then either use RSD lite to reflash your phone, or use F&B3, or a better one named MotoKup2 (from modmymoto), to do the job..

If your still then having troubles but your phone is recognised by your puter, then search for SureGOT or GOTmoto and buy a days usage to their repair files/program to repair your phone.. It'll cost $5.00 for a days membership but is brilliant and worth the money..

Hey guys,
So i've read through the whole forum, and this is my problem. I flashed my phone and you know its "dead" i did the * # and got it to come back on. But when connecting to the usb port, i get a "unreconzied" device and when i try to load the correct driver its "unable to start". Of course anytime before i it would regconzie fine, but now it will not start etc, so in doing this i can not re flash it because in my rsd lite it does not detect it.

Hey i found a cracked version of Smart-Clip it is Smart clip tool and all the smart moto components work on it ... eg JTAG editing ... reloading your bad boot sector. Not sure on how Cracked verson downloads work on this server some let me know if i will get in trouble for posting but until then pm me and i will get it to you.
