I think this should be under modding. but i wanted to know how to flash your phone. mainly a nokia DCT4. I have 2 crashed 3650 and a 8390. I wanted to try to flash the 3650's hopefully making them work again. The nokia dealers told me to flash it. but i dont have the warranty so now i'm going research on it.

I've came across a " griffin box " but not much on it. I wanna learn now so in the future i can flash my other phones w/o having to send it out. And what better to try it out on 2 crashed 3650s and a working one as well. But the griffin box run around 200$ .

Would there be any other way aside from using a box?

For the 3650 and such, you need the box. Mine is fried in much the same way. I flash 3390's and 3395's and such with a cheap cable that I got from cellphoneshop.net. If you do get the box lemme know, I'm in need of flashing my 3650.
