I just bought a Sidekick 2 and I am not going to pay for the internet. Can I still download things from the catalog if I dont have a data plan?

Not possible.
P.S. Don't you think that the sidekick is kinda big to use as a phone only? the data is the best part of the device.

no you can not acces the catalog without the data plan. The sidekick 2 is really not good as a phone but its aim and web browser is great. If u are looking for a phone try someplace else.
