I can one of these cheaper from a friend who is a retailer than the future dial cable which alot of people seem to like with this phone.
But is the cable good for transferring data aka ringtones and graphics. phone lg-vx3200

ringtones are easy using bitpim
there are several threads on this including a tutorial
pictures / wallpapers are diificult but can be done
BUT it is a special situtaion
there is tutorial and you can use any image you have that you can manipulate
but it is a direct one for one replacement
you create the image and place it { overwrite the wallpaer file } using BitPim
you cannot maintain a directory/folder of images and change it on the fly, anytime you feel like it

my question really was not on how but if the Cable that verizon offers for the vx3200 a good one for doing such things.
I read that future dial on the lgs are a good cable from the tutuorials i read. But the reason i ask is like for the motorolla line futuredial cables ( especially the one for t720 suck and best not to get them.)
I think the real thing is i did not want to buy the cable and then get screwed on it because bitpim does not like the way the cable does something different than the futuredial cable or the lg made serial cable for the phone.

The verizon cables that are in the MOK (moble office kit) are futuredial cables with their sticker on them.
FutureDial's are the ones to get.
