Audiovox 8900 Rebooting over and over

My gf's 8900 is rebooting over and over, When I charge it it will say fully charged but then when take off the charger and turned on it says "Low Battery, Phone is shutting off" any ideas?

how old is the battery?

Battery is maybe a year old. It JUST started doing this last night, up until then it held a charge for a long time and have never had any other problem.

is the charger the one that came with the phone? if not the voltage may be wrong. if tahts not it maybe try cleaning the battery contacts with an eraser?

Same adapter that came with it when I got the phone.

take out the battery, plug the charger in and power up the phone ... if there are pictures on the phone (maybe you took pics of something b4 this happened?) delete em, power off, clean all terminals on the battery and phone with a qtip or clean cloth and power up... (dont powerup with the charger)
