i frequently use my p910 as a mp3 player instead of my i-pod. However, i really hate the fact that the headphones that came with the phone are huge and uncomfortable. Are there any headphones for phones that you guys would suggest? thanks

This BT stereo headset is also a very nice option although availability has not been made available to the consumer market yet..

But I think it won't work. It requires A2DP for stereo sound. To my knowledge, the P910 does not have this profile (yet)

Right, the BT stereo headset won't work for listening to music on a P9xx. What a shame. I bet SE won't bother including the the bt profile in a firmware update (if possible) either. But they probably will include the feature in their next $800 p series upgrade.

Regarding a 2.5mm - 3.5mm adapter, also have a look at a couple of options on this page:

I use their adapter (the simple one without the microphone) without any problems.

This store claims their adapters are better because they are designed for mobile phones (so they handle the speakers and the microphone). They say standard stereo adapters potentially can damage the phone or headset because they are not made to handle both speakers and a microphone.

A little over a year ago I simply started retrofitting all my portable speakers (w/ amplifier) and headphones with the appropriate jacks to fit the Pxxx series. This required stripping the original jack off which is a delicate task. At any rate, it started with the headphones and portable speakers below. But now I've grown confidence in revamping some nice high-end Senheisers with noise cancelling capability. I've managed to get them to look esthetically respectable now. The trick to is make it look like the jacks weren't even tampered with and ofcourse make it work. This eliminates the need of having an extra adapter which in some circumstances could be quite cumbersome and easy to lose. The SE BT MP3 player headsets are nice with the exception that it still requires too many parts albeit its BT capabilities.

The other alternative was to build a thin adapter converter cast that would be implanted into the phone permanently without damaging the original jack. However, that project didn't pan out to well.. Although, I'm revisiting that thought and think I can streamline what I've done thus far.

I'm not sure when the Jabra c220's would be out but they might be worth trying.

I just got some Griffin Ear Jams (made for Ipod earphones) and installed them on my 910's earphones. They have improved the fit and comfort considerably and helped out with the sound as well (by blocking out external noise).
