DOD Root Certificates

I had to download the handheld software for my 7520 to be able to get the password keeper application and get that loaded which was successful.
In the process though I saw that DOD root certificates was not checked in the install process. When I upgraded the software on my 7510 I basically checked everything and it worked fine.
Do I need to add these to my 7520 as well?
What are they and are they needed?
Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7520/4.0.0 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)
Nextel is no help as upgrading software through RIM's site is considered 3rd party. I guess I'll leave them off since everything is working.

In essence, the DoD root certs are only helpful if you're using the BlackBerry's S/MIME Support Package (SSP) for US Dept. of Defense PKI purposes. If that doesn't apply to you, they're useless and will do for you no more than just take up space on your BB.

Thanks - I had a funny feeling the DOD = Dept of Defense.
Nope I really do not have a need for them...
