How to reset user lock code?

Does anyone have info on resetting the user LOCK code on a SidekickII. My daughter changed the code but now she can't remember it.

If you have a Data Plan You can call Tech support and have them unlock it remotely 
If you don't have a Data Plan you're screwed and your device needs to be exchanged
