M900, S700i, D500, or Moto A668???

Hey guys,

I know you get a lot of 'Which phone should I get' questions, but I was hoping you could help me out. I just sold my Razr V3 and I'm planning on getting a new phone. I've narrowed it down to the Mitsu M900, Sony Ericsson S700i, Samsung D500, and the Moto A668. Regardless of which one I get, I plan on keeping it for a while, especially since all these phones are rather pricey. Therefore, I want to make a wise choice. I'm mainly looking for a good, solid phone with great reception. Size doesn't really matter. Camera quality is slightly important, but since all these phones have megapixel cameras, it's not that big of a deal. I guess I just want to know what you all think is the best phone out of the 4? Which of these phones is actually worth the high price that I'll be paying? I really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

forget the A668. frankly speaking as a camera phone it sux. only thing its good for is its finger writing thing, its got no expandable memory or bt..

ive owned s700 so id say good pic, but id go with m900 or d500. id cancel d500 cause of no expandable memory.

m900 for me

Thanks 'bronco' for your input. However, if expandable memory is not a big issue to me, which of the phones do you think I should get? M900?

Ya...I think I'm going to eliminate the A668. I've been using too many Motos lately, so I want to use something else. Now, it's down to the M900, S700i, and D500. Anymore feedback? Please!

Posted by: bronco

id choose m900 overall, cause ive owned an s700 and its memory limit annoys me plus its rather bulky and menu is slow, d500 is nice but restricted memory

Posted by: cybero

but the m900 dont have bt i thought...

Posted by: eekflapfire

Thanks for all the input! I decided on the D500. Expandable memory is not a big deal for me. I already have a 6230 with expandable memory so I guess that's enough for me. I actually got to play around with the S700 and M900. I realized that they're just a little too big for me. I thought I could deal with the size, but I guess not. I have yet to see a Moto A668, but the D500 sure is small. I love the size. The screen is beautiful too. Now, I just need to wait for the price to drop a bit. It's too over-priced for me at the moment. Thanks again.

rite now its about the same price as the s700... about 20 bux more expensive...but the size is worth it....

i think s700 would be the best choice among 4. But if you want to smallest one than it's A668.

If you got the cash, might as well spend it well. Go for the a760.

Posted by: Levent

afaik A760 is not out in the market (as least not in the states) but there are others, A768i and A780.

Posted by: Spitz

plus he already decided on the d500... LEVENT??? leave him be man...he's decided.

HAHAHA I'm not a D500 fanboy...it's an inside joke here...

Hi guys,

I actually changed my mind and decided on the s710a. The price of the d500 hasn't dropped and I've gotten a bit impatient. Also, my friend just got a d500 and I got to play with it for a couple days. I actually got a little bored of it, but I don't know why. Anyway, now that the s710a is out, I think I'm gonna get that one. Besides, the s710a has 850 so I guess that it would be a better choice. Now, all I have to do is find one in SoCal. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a s710a in Southern California? Thanks for all the input though. I really appreciate it.

Hey C-Dub!

How are you? I hope all is well. So how do you like the V800 compared to the S700i? How do they compare in size? I remember you had the s700i. If it's possible, can you please give me a short list of pros and cons for each phone? Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (don't hate, procreate: Nokia6230/2.0 (04.28) Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Out of those two, i'd get the v800

Dude you know how I was ragging at the s700i size? OMFG the v800 is like an early 80's cell phone in size. Imagine being able to flip open 2 6230's sitting on top of eachother.

Dude it's slick, but that's the biggest thing I've seen yet...yes even bigger than the 6260... from what I saw...the 6260 is much flatter.

but it looks soooo nice!

are we talking about sizes?

6260
=====
Size Dimensions 102 x 49 x 23 mm, 109 cc
Weight 125 g

V800
=====
Size Dimensions 102 x 49 x 24 mm
Weight 128 g

i don't see any diff. other than v800 is 3gram(like a piece of post-it) heavier than 6260.

Facts are the facts...but you gotta see this thing in real life man. 6260 doesn't look that big compared to the v800. The v800 is a daunting piece of technology ... or that's how it looks anyway.

Posted by: jagarda

get the s710a if you're not to concerned about the size,, the v800 is a little faster but lacks in picture quality and doesnt have a radio, remember that 1.3 mpixel doesnt mean that the 2 phones have the same picture quality
