Originally posted by fatherbrew i really think you are better off with a memory stick (SD) you can transfer games, pic, and sounds with the memory card and guess what you also get more memory up to 1 gig IF SOMEONE FINDS OUT SOME EXTRA PERKS WITH THE DATA CABLE PLEASE POST. |

Originally posted by agaurav you cannot insert the memory card into the PC/laptop directly, at least not for most PCs as yet. you need to get a "card reader" there are plenty available some take 4-7 different type of cards (compact flash, sony memory stick, secure digital etc.). you put this card reader in the usb slot of PC/laptop and the the memory card into the card reader. of course, you need to remove teh card from the phone. the other option is to use the USB data cable. i hope this clarifies. |
I would like to use my TM150 as a modem w/ my lap mac when I go on trips. However I do not see any mac versions.
| Of course, for pictures/videos, SD card is the way to go. I typically switch off the phone to remove/insert the card. Is this required? Can I remove/insert the SD card in the phone with the phone turned on? |

Originally posted by MediaGuru I'll assume you followed the pop up box that you get telling you to put the phone into the connection mode. If so, then it's probably a COM port problem. (This has to be a FAQ for all Sharp phones, I swear!) Load up the TM150 Handset Manager software and click the middle blue button (with the three lines) on the top left and choose Interface Setup. Make sure that the COM port listed there is the same one as Windows thinks the TM150 is on. You can check the COM port number by using the Device Manager in Windows. (Control Panel->System->Hardware tab->Device Manager then look under Ports) Once they are set the same, you might have to restart the software. It should connect after a few moments. |

i'm still curious however, the Handset Manager doesn't access the SDcard does it?
