Does IR Port Work on Color SK I?

Hey guys... just picked up a 1st generation Color Sidekick and I stuck my SIM card and am awaiting for the stinkin' thing to activate. I realized it might take a day or two, so I put in a prepaid SIM card in the meantime so I could still make phone calls with my old phone.
But I was wondering, does the IR port work? I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere in the user manual. And I was really hoping I could beam my contacts over from my SE T616 instead of manually entering everything.

Negative. Was designed for "development" intentions but was never developed on.
Pretty much IR port is useless.
