This is going to be me complaining about my audiovox 8910, to see if these issues annoy anyone else. This has nothing to do with downloads, though I do think they went a little cheap with the lack of ringtones already in the phone.
When you type a number on the phone's screen, it disappears after about 15 seconds. This only annoys me because on many phones (the ones I'm used to), the number will stay on screen forever.
Also, the phone does not beep every once in awhile to tell you that there is a missed call, a voicemail, or a message.
I've been typing in greetings in the "Greeting Message" screen, but I don't know where this message is displayed.
Maybe you know what I'm doing wrong, or at least do not mind the way it works.

you can change ALL of those problems you are having in the settings...look in the manual and you shall see...

You greeting message will be displayed where the Service Banner is displayed. If you have verizon go into menu, settings, system, ERI banner, off.....Then go into menu, settings, display, greeting messages and edit as u please

is there a way to get beeps for missed calls? in the alert menu of my 8910 the only options are minute, roam, connect, on-off tones and fade, whatever that does.

There's some dust under the glass on my 8910's screen...other than that I have no substantial complaints. As sais earlier all the issues mentioned earlier can be rectified by tinkering with the settings.

Thank you sliderdude for your help with the ERI Banner. The thing about the numbers disappearing is definately not fixable; according to the people at Audiovox it's a built in setting that can't be changed. I was just wondering if I was the only person annoyed by this. As for the missed calls beeping, if someone could tell me which setting this can be changed from, that would be very helpful, but I have definately searched the manual and cannot find anything.
