thoughts anyone? they seem to be real cheap on ebay how does it compare to the kx414:
signal strength
battery life
will it work on vzw website says no

side note is it just me or does vzw love suck fones

if you can find it for less than $40 bucks shipped then its definitely worth it. they have a long battery life if you have a good battery, but they're nothing compared to newer, less power-consuming phones, signal strength is fair/moderate

best thing about the sliders it the features for a small phone incl. mp3 ringtone playback, WAP, brew games...

let me also add, however, that w/so much customizable crap, they have a high *kill* rate because people very often overload the memory with mp3s and wallpapers, break/disconnect the cable to the LCD trying to change faceplates, etc. etc.

and as with most small phones, they're easy to drop

It's an o.k. phone for what it has to offer. I'm no cell phone guru or anything......but any phone that survive a 25ft. fall while rock face climbing, and only sustain minor scratches, is O.K. by me!!!

yeah, the phone lasts a good 2-3 days for me while on powersave mode(dimmed screen) and gets pretty good reception even though I go to a college in the middle of nowhere(UC Davis). I've dropped it numberous times and the only issue I've had with it is the battery pops out when dropped which isn't too bad. I've fried it a number of times but VZW has replaced it every time at no cost and me without warrenty. so if you're asking if it's a good phone? I think it's sek c

after looking throug the other posts, my best bet for a slider is to get one off of ebay (don't really want to wait) or if a radio shack has one in stock. Is this correct?? does anyone know how much it would be with a one year contract?

ebay it up man i got mine for 36usd + shipping plus ~2usd for a faceplate i was gonna buy anyway

you could get one with a cracked lens (theres plenty of em) and put a new faceplate on it. i hate to look like everyone else.

I went to a radio shack and picked one up for about 70 with a one year. I would take it back if haven't been put through hell about upgrading my phone after a one year contract.

Lesson to all.... wait to year hear from the group before spending money!!
