ok, so i'm not so computer literate
...but could some one explain how i can take applications/files off of my phone and put on my sd card? i have a moto mpx200....some things i can put on the sd card but most things i get "access denied"...
is there a way of getting off some of the moto stuff like sounds, wallpapers that i'll never use? (it tells me "deletion failed" or sumpin like that or again "access denied")....
and what's the difference between "main" (program) memory, "storage" memory and "storage" (device)?
and how come when i try to download games to my sd card, my phone tells me i am low on system memory? i have the following:
Program memory free: 9.00 MB
Storage memory free: 10.10 MB
Device storage (flash info) free: 1.79 MB
Card Storage (512 MB) free: 473 MB
thanks dudes and dudettes!

What applications/files you try to put in your Sd card?
Do you have 2003 mpx200?
I think you put the games in the wrong folder.

all of my games are on my sd card except for the ones that came on the phone. i've tried moving it to my sd card but i get the error of a file can't be found when i move it there. if i unistall and try re-installing on sd card, phone says "unable to install at this location" when mounted volume sd card is selected. the game is pdamill snails for smartphone - all others i've had no troubles with.
another application is fizz traveler - it doesn't work on sd card. couse they tell you you should download on phone.
as for other files/applications - my favorites folder for my internet urls.
would like to take off the calendar that came on the phone and just use paprys but to no avail. would also like to delete some of the home screens that came on the phone (under windows file) to free up some space but it tells me "access denied".
some ringtones that came on the phone i was able to delete but that's about all the luck i've had.
any help would be appreciated as i really don't know nor understand what should go where under what folder.
thanks!

Sorry kirtzic !!! Everything in (Windows folder) you cannot delete it, That how the phone work!! If you want to delete some home screens that you dont use, you hit Storage/windows/ and Start Menu. Where do you download fizz traveler and pdamill snails at?
I just want to try If i can use PHM Reg on it.

hey kherm1, thanks for your responses. i kinda figured pretty much what ever came on the phone stays there, minus a thing or two.
as for fizz traveler and snails, they are both loaded on the phone NOT sd card. fizz traveler i didn't have a choice about cuz it tells you when downloading it has to go on phone.
snails i had a choice initially to save on phone or sd card - i chose the obvious of sd card but the phone wouldn't let me save it there - message something to the effect of "can not save at this location". i tried moving it to sd card after loading but no luck cuz phone won't see some file. i tried copying/pasting too and that didn't work. so for what ever reason that game app. has to stay on phone.
i have been able to delete some home screens and ring tones from one location on the phone doing what you suggested, but i can't get them out of windows - get "access denied".
i have tried moving some applications on the phone that came on the phone under the same program files on the sd card - but no luck - access denied. so at this point, i am wondering when i can delete files, what TYPE can i delete - for example, i have a ton of dll files that i don't know if i need or not. i'm not well versed in what the "extentions" of files are or what they do.
i know exe is execute and ini is an initiation file and lnk is link to what ever file then bmp, jpeg, and the like - i know what they are and what they do....
obviously, like i said in my initial thread - i'm not all that computer literate!
thanks again tho for your responses as you are the only one who has responded to any of my threads on the smart phone.
