gsm registration problems

i just bought my sidekick2 and i put in my old sim card from my other tmobile phone to the sk2, and it says no sim card found. in network status it has signal strength of 15 ASU, gsm registration unregistered.
how can i fix this?

Make sure u inserted the Sim card properly. I get this a lot where people put the sim card in the wrong way/improperly. If that fails perform a hard reset on it. If that fails call CS.
Actually.. Do you still have a Voicestream SIM card? If so then that is your problem right there.
