wtf is up with this ××××? i always have phone service, but i always get the DATA OFF thing. for my first 5 days with the phone it wasnt like this, but it has every since. i wnana send emails and go on AIM and ×××× but i cant even get my gmail to work, and its always DATA OFF.

help needed please.

try this...

at the welcome screen, hit menu, then controls, choose wireless, and make sure that your wireless is on

wireless is on, and always has. its just 75% of the time it says "data off" and 25% of the time its on.

Take your sim out and put it back in, performa soft reset, performa hard reset (if u got a Data plan) if not call customer service all theough they may ask you to do a SIM swap 1st to determine wether your device is defective or your sim card is.

naw it was just that my roaming was off. it has to be on for data to work. figured it out myself
