GD55 is stuck on roaming. Can't get it to stop.

Hi all,

Just got my GD55. Love the phone, however the little triangle (roaming) light is always on. I'm definately in an area that my Cingular network should be working. How can I change it? I have it set to auto network.

i have that same problem too, hopefully by bumping this thread someone can help . mine is T-mobile but it says cingular and im roaming

Try chaning the band frequency to 900, 1800 or 1900.

My gd55 is a piece of cr@p I get dropped all the time> i bought it used on ebay. But I got one for my wife and hers workes fine.I want to get a NEW one but does the g51 get better service? Or would a new gd55 be the answer.
