If I miss a phone call when I open the flip I have an icon and a message saying I missed a call. If I erase the message the icon goes away but the message remains until I switch the phone off and on again.

Anothe related problem is again a missed call but the caller leaves a voice message. Same as before to delete the missed call message but my operator sends me a text to say I have voice mail. I cannot erase this message. A Orange Handset trainer told me that this message is stored on my SIM card and there is no facility on the P910i to erase from my SIM.

Sony Ericsson UK seem to deny there is a problem

it is a known issue ont he phone i had some stored on my sim but strangly once it deleted them for me don't now how i did it tho!

Switching the phone off usually does the trick except for Orange voice mail text messages

you need to ring your voice mail ie 123 and press option 3 to change personal options you can switch off missed call alerts in there option 7 i think. if it is not in there it will in main list of options.
