Hey i just got the kx2 from verizon but i had it programmed through alltel. here is my question. right above the time and the date it says "Extended Service" it even said that before i took it to get it programmed at alltel. So do any of you guys know what i can do to get it off. thanks

Mine says "Verizon Wireless" there, you'll probably need to either go bug Alltell about it, or do some hex editing on the files. I'll look around and see what I can find on my phone.

i remember on the older nokia's there was a code you could put in and change that text, if i memory serves me correctly it was *3001#12345# but it doesn't work on this so i'm not sure what to do.........

YOu can remove that banner. Ive already done it on mine. you hex some files, ill try the find the site again.
