is the call volume on the 5600 much better than the mpx220? im hoping it is as loud as the nokia 6230 or 6620.. also how is the speaker phone?

On the ones that I've had the call volume was loud as well as the speakerphone.

The call volume is better to an extreme, in my opinion. The 5600, on its lowest setting, is still loud to me.

I find the speaker phone to be quite good. It's not like a Polycom, but it's certainly good. It's as good as the 6230. I haven't had a 6620, so I cannot compare it to that handset.
