cant get into my phone with bitpim

I just got my data cable for my 6100, installed the driver with the disc, and downloaded bitpim 7.25, and when i go into "get data from phone", check all 4 boxes, and click OK, i get a message saying "COM4: Could not open port: (2, 'Create File', 'The system cannot find the file specified.')" has anyone encountered this, or know how to fix it?

Go into the options thing, click browse, make sure that you select the port that your phone is actually plugged into and that you pick the right phone in the list.

Also, try restarting the computer. If no, reinstall the program (bitpim). Also, test to see if your computer even sees the phone in device manager. See if you can make a dial up connection. Your drivers might be bad. Double check everything. Program works fine for everyone.

i think you need the phone to be set on USB under the 1x data tab

(on my vx6000 dont know if its the same on the 61000)
