Everyone, I need to recommendation between Sharp 902 and SE V800. Which one is better, compare from the functions to the entertainment. Please let me know.

I considered upgrading from Nokia 6600 to V800, but didnt think it was worth it, unless I wanted 3G...
But I did upgrade to 902...

For the screen and the quality of the MP3 player alone I would recommend the Sharp 902. I have had both and would choose the 902 every time, I have also found the signal strength to be slightly better and it is a breeze to text on.

Get the Sharp if you want a QVGA screen and a great camera.
Get the Sony if you want and internal antenna, smaller form factor, abitlity to use Mp3s as ringtones, full duplex speaker phone, email client with full support for attchments (send games, mp3s, word documents, etc.), full BT and IrDa, downloadable themes (UI skins), unlimted video recording, tons of available games/apps, etc...
My vote goes to the V800

Actually the 902 offers those features aswell, MP3's can be converted to use as ringtones. Dont forget you cant use an MP3 as a ringtone on the Sony Ericsson unles that has been converted using the DRM utility so it balances out in the long run

What specific features are you talking about?

I know, but if you de-brand it, those limitations are removed. I just like the customizeability of the Sonys and was kinda turned off by my experience with the TM-150's UI compared to the Sony's.
Still can't beat that Sharp screen and camera though...

Except for the UI-skins, the 902 does everything else you mention...

Cool, I didn't know that. The build quality on the Sharp is probably better than the V800 too.

The build quality looks amazing, every detail feels classy, even Vodafone logos, I had the Nokia 6600 before...

I'm stuck in the same dilema....i wanted the V800 before...but due to delays in getting it...i am now thinking about the Sharp 902 also...
Sucks....can't decide...none of them are perfect...got their flaws and strengths...i had it when this happens...

Is the IrDA and Bluetooth in the 902 restricted like it was in the GX10i/20/30?

NO...

My vote goes for Sharp 902

Oops. Looks like the V800 is the winner :P
Posted by: Lowrider
Why...
The new software will make it even better...
Posted by: Eyeless0
Its only in uk the sharp 902 has software problems, here in sweden its all good
The 902 rocks the socks of V800 on everthing except the price :P

feel the buttons... the 902sh is the winner.
to me, the buttons are very important, as is the display. both of which the 902 excel. i have no reason to buy the 800, except that it's half the price. but even then....
