Can I retrieve Phonebook from Broken Phone

I have a Motorola Timeport 270c that no longer can be turned on and powered up. However, the phonebook (about 375 entries) was intact, even after it started shutting down unexpectedly. I am being told there is no way to retrieve the phone book without repairing the phone, and if I have the phone repaired, this will result in the phone book being erased when the phone is reset during the repair.

I am not concerned whether or not the phone can be repaired, but am very interested in retrieving my phonebook. Is there any way to retrieve these numbers? Is there any service location in Southern or Central Ontario that may be able to assist me with this problem?

The only way is to power up the phone to download contacts.
If there is no power, there is no transfer possible.

Other than that, they could take out the flash chip and solder it on to another board, then power it up to download them, but that'd probably take a week and cost over 300$... if anyone would agree to do it in the first place :/

Good luck.

First off, sorry to hear about your loss... 270C = Great phone...

I have one... I had my phone serviced and did not loose my contacts, mind you, it was a a cracked screen issue...

No Power = No Love

I can't see any way unless it does power up...

Thanks for the info. I have another 270c (not activated) that is in good condition, so I suppose it is possible that the flash chip could be transferred to that phone, though most likely I am out of luck.
