I downloaded the 57R cingular flash too for safe keeping just in case I need service down the line. Thanks MotoX for the links. It's nobodies fault but my own, I got greedy. Everything started out fine. It pretty much works fine with it. I started out changing the outer display to read her name, that went fine, then I deleted some of the stock pix and tones. It went down hill from there, I can't remember exactly what all I messed with 
YES I tried doing a "Restore" for the backup fill but it didn't take to well, the phone itself still worked but the display was shoot to hell, as in you couldn't see anything, But hey the camera would still work!! You could make calls fine, you just couldn't see what you were dialing.

I believe this could have been avoided if I simply did not include 'mytonedb.db' and 'temptonedb.db' as part of the package. 2nd thing I had to 'fix' was the personal text on the outer LCD, 2 seconds with motokit and done. Otherwise perfect. [oh .. I had to re-select my wallpaper] So... can someone tell me why it is so crucial/mandatory to select M.CLEAR and M.RESET after flex ? EDIT: Just thought of something... Possibly all went well without checking M.CLEAR etc.. because the flex I was using was a FULL flex ... meaning it wipes out the entire flex on the phone first before writing ... so the only purpose I see for an M.CLEAR is to do just that... clear everything from the flex which you just written to the phone.... why should you have to do that ?? Should be a simple preference option...as it seemed to be with my situation. |
