.pmd Ringtones

Hey All,

I'm not only new to the forums but I'm also new to programing cell phones.

My questions are:

1) Does anyone know how to convert MP3's into .pmd ringtones? I've tried a few ringtone converters but with no success.

2) Does any one know of hacking software for the kio KX2? Bitpim doesn't work, yet. Kyocera installed like 15 ringtones or so and a bunch of cartoon like caller ID's but their all locked and wasting memory so I'd like to remove them.

Thanks all.

1) no idea, never even heard of that file type.

2) all those 15 ringtones and cartoon pictures are all locked and you can't remove them. we've all tried with different phones and different programs but once a file is brew locked, you can't really do much with it. give it another 20 years and maybe someone might crack brew 2.0

using qpst, i took an mp3 and shortened it to 30 secs, then renamed the extension from mp3 to mid and placed it into brew/media/sounds/ringer and it works. it's like an ipod on your phone but not. enjoy
