Does the X700 have auto time-update?

Hey guys. I'm deciding between the Motorola MPx220 and the Panasonic X700, and I was wondering if the X700 has automatic time-update.

The MPx220 doesn't have it and that's kinda dissapointing since I do travel a bit.

Oh, and one more question. Are there any Symbian mp3 progams that will work with the X700? I know that it doesn't play mp3s but I was wondering if there were any programs that will override this feature? Or at least allow me to play mp3 ringtones.

Thanks guys.

Hello.

1) Yes it has auto update.

2) Yess you can install MP3 Programs and play MP3 files with Mono not stereo output.

3) No you cannot use MP3 as ringtones, but you can use Ogg vorbis files, which is smaller than MP3 with better (most of the times) quality...

Awesome man, I appreciate the help.

What programs are out there that you know of that use Ogg files? Does it convert mp3 to Ogg?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/symbianoggplay

That's the link to get OggPlayer... It will play all your Ogg Vorbis files... AND it will allow you to use them automatically as ringtones in your X700. Just install it (version 1.62 and above), and after you place an ogg file, the X700 will see it and play it as ringtone.

Moreover you can use: http://www.dbpoweramp.com to find the program that will convert your wav/mp3 files to ogg vorbis

You'll be amazed by the sound... At least for Mono playback

As for the time update...

I just got the X701 today in the mail. Awesome phone, too much Voda crap on it but I'm sure there'll be a solution to that in the weeks to come. Time update doesn't work for me at all. I know it does work here in the San Francisco Tmobile market, I've been able to do a time update with all my phones, but it isn't working for me at all on my X701. Any ideas anyone?
