A100's microphone : weakness or defect?

Having problem: with A100 I need noticeably to raise my voice (comparing with other phones) to be heard by interlocutor.
Signal good(tried different areas), I can hear others clearly.
Is this defect in current phone or what?
Meanwhile I returned phone to warranty repair, but the problem is not quite obvious, more subjective but nevertheless annoying and noticeable.
