Can I do MPX220 Rom update myself?

Hello all,
My MPX220 has a pre-release Rom, but so far I cannot find where I can do Rom update in Toronto.

Do you think I can do it myself IF I can get hold of the latest Rom (I don't even know if it is possible)? The original Rom keeps cutting me off and saying I have SIM error. I like the physical size and buttons of this phone, though. Want to find a workable Rom so I can truly appreciate this phone.

nope, it cant be done. not at this time at least.

you have to have specific software and hardware to do this which to my knowledge isnt normally available to regular Joe Schmoes like you and me.

I kept it short and sweet trying to be helpful to someone who obviously could not find the info themselves. Sorry to annoy an old pro like yourself. I thought it would save him time and money.
