Is there a way I can receive a ringtone or a wallpaper via an attachment to an EMS text message sent to my phone, rather than downloading it to my computer? Thanks.

Right. I guess I meant some way OTHER THAN vtext.com. All Verizon's stuff is proprietary, so once you've received them you can't turn around and attach them to your own text messages which is what I want to do. (You get an error message if you try.) I'm looking for public domain ringtones and graphics that can be sent via text message. Thanks.

simply email yourself through yahoo or any other email provider with attachment to yournumber@vzwpix.com
make sure the ringtone is less than 100kb

Hey all,
This is my first post, as I just got a VX4500. I'm trying to find the X-files theme ringtone but I'm not having a very easy time. I'd like to avoid the poly version, if possible.
Anyway, I sent a "test" .mid file to myphone@vtext.com and tried to save to my phone from the message, and I get "Cannot save preloaded or invalid object."
Am I missing something? I too would like to get ringtones without sitting for hours on Get It Now browsing through endless junk. lol
Thanks for any advice!
Squalle
