P800 sound problems

I recently got a P800 second hand, and decided to replace the housing as it was a bit tired. Anyhow, all has gone well except for one major problem. It won't play ringtones, music or screen clicks. However, you can here tones from using the jog wheel, and you can use the phone to make calls, so I doubt it's the speaker either. Anybody had this problem before, most confusing?
