Hey, for the past two nights I have spent a combined 6+ hours trying to read some of these threads to figure out how to get mp3 songs onto my 6100. I used to have a 6000 where i used bitpim and my 6000 cable and it worked perfectly. Now I can't get it. I Tried to email it through the vzwpix.com way, i changed everything and all i got was something about unsupported audio type. And with the new bitpim 0.72 thing i installed they don't have an option with the 6100...EVERY OTHER PHONE EXCEPT THE 6100!?!? what do i DO? someone please help!!!!!

ok i understand that but when i was directed to futuredial for the usb driver for it, it took me to a dead end. I installed what i needed to and it just downloaded some prolific driver stuff which didnt give me anything I could figure out? what should i do to install the driver for it so that bitpin will recognize my phone? cause i am currently using the vx6000 cable for my vx6100, with that bitpim 0.762. but it doesnt recognize my phone. PLEASE HELP!!?!?!?!?

i had the vx6000 and used bitpim and when i switched to the vx6100 all i had to do was pick the 6100 and then just look for the new com port otherwise everything is still the same ie: same bitpim, same drivers as the 6000, even the same data cable. try checking for a new com port im pretty sure that is where your problem is also make sure you still have all the drivers installed and you didn't delete them

If you can't find 6100 drivers, you likely want to use 7000 drivers, not 6000 drivers -- The 6100 seems to be a kluge of previous LGs -- Early version of BitPim required selection of 7000 for some functions and 4500 for other functions -- Do a yahoo/google search for "6100 data cable" and you will notice that most also list 7000 for the cable -- Users reported that early 6100 accessory listings which included 6000 on list didn't fit/work.
