I know some of these questions have been asked a million times, I checked, but I cannot seem to find an answer for the particular phone I am using. Either that or my naiveté in mobile lingo has barred me from obtaining the answer. So, I apologize in advance for asking yet again.

(*Background – I am using a Panasonic EB-G51 purchased and used in China. No unlock needed. (Pictured below.))

1) Can ANYONE tell me if there is a way to remove the carrier name from the Panasonic EB-G51 phone, and if so, how?

2) Is there a way with the T9 input to use a shift for capitalization without scrolling through the input methods? (I also use Simplified Chinese input, so I end up having to scroll through 4 input methods, then back again, just to put in a capitol “I”)

3) Can I use one of the other variants of the G51 bodies on my phone? It’s hard enough trying to find information about my phone, let alone a case. (Spur of the moment buy).

4) Anyone who may be using the Simplified Chinese input: Is there a way to enable the T9 feature to suggest the next character? This is the most annoying thing.

5) And, finally, can I remove the stupid predefined information that comes with this phone? I’m not too keen on these Chinese ring tones.

Oh, and on a not so important point...

Why is it this phone can VIEW animated .gif files but will not display them as animated? Even if they are the correct 128x80 size?

Strange if you ask me. It's like buying a color tv, but everyone broadcasts in black and white.

I got my Panasonic G51M a week ago. Best phone I ever had/will have. It's even better than my Panasonic GD55 heh

If SOMEONE will enter this thread in order to answer these question, here are a few questions of mine that I got no answer to:

1. Does the Panasonic G51M support Hebrew language?
2. Are the Panasonic G51M ringtones louder than the GD55 ringtones?
3. Can I put the Panasonic G50 faceplate on the Panasonic G51M?
4. Any news about a new version of the Panasonic GD55/G50? (besides that crappy A100 series)
5. When I use the code *#369# to enter the engineering menu, there are a few options there I didn't understand like: Old Hardware, DTMF and etc.
6. When I download a ringtone or a wallpaper, what is the maximum file size for each format? Is the maximum file size of a ringtone is 30 kb? And is the maximum file size for a wallpaper is 20 kb?
7. Is there any way to free up some more space by deleting the default ringtones and wallpapers? (or any other way for that matter)
8. Is this cellphone durable? I had the Panasonic GD55 and I dropped it a LOT but nothing really happened to it.
9. Is it possible to enable MMS?
10. If I'll download an animation (GIF file) will I be able to see the animation actually moving while putting it as a background?
