What you need:
Bitpim 0.7.26 dl here link
and an MP3
Steps.
1. Open bitpim and click on ringers tab.
2. click add and find the mp3 file you want.
3. Select the bitrate you desire
3a. I use 48kbps for ringers on my vx8000 but the speakers can handle up to 64kbps.
3b. click convert
4. Move the sliders to find the aprox 30 seconds of the clip you want.
5. click ok
6. right click on the file then click save.
Now you can use the file structure of bitpim or QPST to place your newly edited mp3.
I know there are other ways to do it but the editing is way easier than finding another program and learning settings.
Hope this helps some people out.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I was downloading all these different programs to try and resample my mp3's to 64K, then using another to crop it down to 30 secs when I already have a program that does it both and quite nice. Thank you again.
Also, if you are an idiot like me and can't figure out why the crop section is grayed out at first... select the file, then convert it, then you will be able to crop it down to 30 secs.
