I have an MPX220 with the 1.3 fw. My pictures are hella dark, even with the brightness turned all the way up and the flash on. Also, some of my pictures have lines through them, as I've read in other posts. But, my fw is current .

Here is a picture taken with the mpx220:

Here is a pic taken in the same place with a V505:

Is the quality that poor on the mpx220? Or is this something that I can fix or a faulty phone or what?

Try putting it into "night mode" and see if that helps....

Put it in automatic mode and enable flash.

Hi when in camera mode choose night mode. Now in night mode try tapping on the right arrow on the keypad. This will brighten the picture, tapping left will darken it. tapping up will zoom in tapping down will zoom out.

If you look at the screen directly left of the resolution you will see a little yellow rectangle box with a blue marker line make sure that is futhest to the right. This will ensure that you are getting the brightest picture possible.

Let me know how it turned out for you. I had the same problem till i figured this out.

Just re erad your post and it seems like you already know about the brightness setting.
Ya they are hella dark. Dont know what to tell you if not the brightness.
