I have that the MPX220 on Cingular is not eligible for the $20 unlimited Media Works. True or not?

Its not supposed to be, but if your calling Cingular and telling them to add the plan tell them you have a different phone like a Nokia 6230 or something.....

Huh? Why not?

They added it to my account without question. I use the phone with my notebook daily.

Because techinally the mpx220 is a "pda phone" which makes it fall under the pda pricing plan which is WAY more expensive.....and therefore not allowing you to use the media works plan, it all depends on who you talk with.

The thing is that the MPX220 is not a PDA phone. It is a smart phone. They signed my phone up no problem. They just screwed up my billing and they are fixing it no questions asked and they know I have this phone.

PDA/Smartphone they all fall under the same category, im done here there is another topic proving my point.

First off, like the subject reads, you are posting in the wrong forum. Second, like others here, I added Media Works without problems/questions to my account (device is MPx220).

Want to see just how screwed up Cingular's web site is, try going to available features, under My Account, and notice that "Wireless Internet" is offered to us MPx220 users. In case you don't know, WI is strictly for the TDMA market and is supposed to take from your airtime. You should have seen my bill this month, $85 in data usage alone! CS credited me back the money at the conclusion of our 1hr discussion

I'm extremely dissapointed with download time, it's no where near the speeds they claim.

Yea they just did the same for me and I live in northen IL. They are filling the claim to get the credit to my account. I called them today and they told me it takes 3 days to get the credit in and they will call me back when it is done.

I wonder if I am having the same problem since I am right by WI too.

Ok I have proof that this is a valid option for this phone. I just checked my account and they have credited me the $40.37 for what I racked up in media charges when I had the media works package on my plan. Under the phone it has the MPX220. So cingular is stating that this plan covers are phone.
