I am currently with Cingular and looking to purchase a MPx220 that was originally sold by ATT. I have spoken to two friends that are Cingular sales reps and they said that I could have issues with roaming with the ATT phone. According to several posts on here the ROM update on Motorola's page is for Cingular phones only, but the only thing that is said on the site is: "Note: This update is for MPx220 products purchased in North America only.". If I flash the phone, and it takes, will any of the ATT features/settings remain? Will I have any problems with roaming or the phone being SOC locked??

I have Cingular and bought a ATTW MPX220 and it didn't work because the phone was sim locked to ATTW. I sold that on eBay and bought a unlocked Cingular MPX220. Good luck finding the flash or flex or whatever.
