Unfortunately the 9900 isn't supported by BitPIM, so the answer to your question is no.

As mentioned, emailing yourself the pics is the only safe solution at present.

I could have sworn I read some BITPIM posts on the 9900.. But I could be wrong. I mean what do i know, im just an 8900 guy..

The tech support guy at Verizon told me that he personally owned this phone and he had figured out a way to move photos from the phone to the computer via the data cable. He said that he wasn't allowed to tell me how to do it, but I could "easily google up the info". Well, that wasn't true, but, if you can believe him, there's a way to do it.

That was at the tech support counter, by the way, not over the phone.

Could be, allthough the only Audiovox phone tested with BitPIM was the 8900, and the BitPIM web site says:

"The internal software in this phone (the 8900) is far too fragile and shoddy. There is a very real risk of locking up the phone so badly it won't reboot and has to be replaced through trivial operations.

Consequently this phone is not supported by BitPim and you should not use it with BitPim even if it appears to work.
"

I'd be wary of using BitPIM with the 9900 too.

Wary, yes, but has it been tried? Yes. And we still don't have access to the real "Ringtones" or "pix/vids" folders. I've been able to use Bitpim to solve some issues with things like MobileIM, etc... but still nothing on downloading pics or uploading games/tones, etc...

Not sure about the 9900 and BitPIM. I have successfully worked with QPST though for simple copying to/from the Brew folders. I did f*** up my GIN for a few days and finally got it working again by copying the Brew folders from my wife's 9900 to my PC, changing the internal phone number (imbedded in some of the bin files) to mine, and reloading them into my phone.

I don't want to go through that again, so I stopped messing around with the Brew stuff!

FWIW, I was not able to find where the wallpaper and ringers were stored. The file structure on the 9900 has a lot of hidden folders (VZW dictated this to Toshiba, I'm told).

I also Fuk'd up my GIN while playing around in there. Luckily, my buddy works at the VZW store here and town and I bought the protection plan on the phone.

We simply went outside and stomped on it a couple times - LOL - and he gave me a new one. I won't be going in there any more and F'ing around.

I'll let somebody else mess up their's first and find the solutions.

Copying what to and from folders? Pics? I know you said you didn't get ringtones, but if you got pics, I've got to try this again. BitPim, QPST, and Asura have all let me do various things (backup my contacts, repair mobile IM, etc, etc...) - but none of have let me find the pics folder.

Mostly the Brew stuff. I couldn't find the pics or ringtones folders either.

I finally gave up and just emailed my pics and tones to the 9900. I don't have that many so it wasn't a big deal.

My biggest compaint/gripe is now I can't load any animated gif's to the phone. Emailing them won't work.

Yea, I haven't been able to get them to work either.
