Wow. I just have to take a moment to thank everyone on here. I just did a seem edit on 0032. What took me days and days to read about (wanted to be safe of course) took all of 2 minutes. I wanted to enable advanced network menu which cingular conveniently disabled and also the alpha tag from tower.
All the information was fantastic. If anyone is in doubt, just read it all and digest it. What a wealth of information from the experts here. I used to get great reception at the office park in taunton, ma, from attws. However when i migrated, cingular signal was so weak. It would on occasion switch to another network which i assumed was attws. Then even the faintest signal from cingular switched it back yet i couldn't make or receive calls. NOW i can switch networks with manual and know i will get all my calls.
Just one question for you guys and gals. Since doing this i now have a new icon on the top row. Tough to describe but it looks like a phone with a "1" next to it. I am assuming that it has to do with what i did yet the manual (also edited for cingular) shows no such icon. Can anyone shed information on this?
Thanks again to all of you and your information.

That sysbol is (Dual Line) For dual line sims. I'm not sure if it has to do with the sim or not becuse when I got a new sim (White one) and put it on my phone that icon came up and when I called AT&T thats what they told me. Maybe!! You can turn it off via P2Ktools.

Yup. You are correct. I noticed the same bit that turned on manual network also activates multi line support. Thanks.
