My blue modded v300

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: rustlerracer15

This is my v300 with super blue clear housing, blue flashing keypad, super blue antenna, and blue and white flashing battery.

Posted by: weirddude

the flashing battery, does it require the large back panel ? the ones for the extended batteries. mind taking more pics ?? that looks hot

Posted by: weirddude

also, did you change the housing yourself ? if so, congrats! you have the guts. now if i only had some guts, id do it to my v600 and my parent's two v300's lols

Posted by: thecheeks

yeah great and all, until your in a dark forest and the phone blinds yourself and you become hopelessly lost because you cant see your way out.

but yeah nice

Rice

Posted by: rustlerracer15

Yea the battery requires a extended battery cover that comes with the battery at most places. I installed the hosuing my self with the help of www.mkwireless.com . Its easier than you think. I didnt think I could but i didnt wanna pay $25 to have someone else do it. Heres a crappy video, ill take a better one soon. V300 vid . Heres some other pics.

Another pic.

horrible digi cam. but hey, a phone is reflected by the owner, so if you like it then thats all that matters lol.

Posted by: rustlerracer15

yea my digital cam is garbage. 4 mp. the pics are ok if the object is more than 2 feet away. I try to get some better ones.

1 question, I can use my normal keypad instead of that plastic pad right?

Posted by: wirelessdude04

do u mean the oem keypad well really i dont think u can cause the lgihts wouldnt shine as much as they would and it would be a tight fit with the flashing keypad circuit

Posted by: SilverFox99

yea but dont forget im getting a transparent housing.

cuz the plastic looks pretty weird...

Posted by: rustlerracer15

u could use you original keypad but it wouldnt look good. the one that comes with the flahsing keypad is good, its rubber not plastic. ur phone with pretty much be like mine, except for the battery and anntenna. il help you out when u get it installed with the battery contacts on the flashing keypad, its a pain in the @$$.

Posted by: wirelessdude04

yeah rustlerracer15 knows what hes doing anyway do use the clear keypad it looks a lot better trust me.

good luck

what do u mean by that??? dont i just change the original one with the new pad?

Posted by: rustlerracer15

the flashing keypad comes with a clear rubber keypad and the circuit board, the orange thing behind the the keypad. U just switch out the keypads, then u gotta put the cicuit board behind the keypad. The piece sticking out with the green thing gets folded around the board in your phone, you will see it when u get there. Then the piece sticking out with two contacts on it gets folded around the board and the contacts have to go on the four metal bars where the battery touches to supply power, its a lil difficult to posistion the contacts so that the phone gets power, and the keypad get power at all times, many people have to push the battery in the get power to the keypad, tell me when u get that far and ill explain in more detail.

thanks wirelessdude
