Here you go man...... the Bit Rate has to be 48 kbps...It has to be set to Mono....and the Audio Sample Rate 8 kHz....Also a good program to use to convert Wav files to i860 compatible MP3 files is dbPowerAmp...Another good reason to use that program is that is Free... You can get it from http://www.download.com and do a search for "dbPowerAmp"

Sometimes 48k does not work on all phones, 32k will also work. You can also get BD Poweramp right from the maker.

Okay, I have finally discovered after many months of research, trial and error and more research that Lame Encoder works beautifully!
You can get Lame <a href="http://mitiok.howardforums.com/">HERE</a>.
Then open Notepad and copy this line into it:

lame -a -b 32 --resample 8 %1

1. Now, save the file as "Lamec.bat" into the directory that you unzip lame into.
2. Put the sound file that you want converted (wav or mp3) into the same directory.
3. Right click on the file you want to convert and in the "Open With" menu go to "Choose Program..."
4. Click "Browse" and go to your Lame directory where you will find and click on "Lamec.bat"
5. Click that and hit Ok. You should see the new file appear in the directory with ".mp3" stuck on the end of it. This has worked every time for me! Good luck.

P.S. I am using ***** to transfer to my i860.
