Ringtones - mms and ringers

I've been having some problems.

Using bitpim and a usb cable i've been able to successfully able upload midi files as ringtones.

My problem is that when uploading the midi's, they're separated into mms ringtones and ringers ringtones.

I can foward mms ringtones to other people though a pix message, but the ringers ringtones can't be sent to other people.

What i want to know is how can I force the midi's uploaded into my phone into mms mode. From what i can tell the seperation between mms and ringer ringtones is random.

Does anybody know more about this?

here is a trick i use.

(1) got http://www.funformobile.com to signup for a free account
(2) upload my midi files
(3) pack multiple midi files to send in one message
(4) when you receive the mms save one at a time when it is playing

every midi sent this way is a mms ringer. hope this helps.
