I have sucessfully loaded MP3's onto my phone put I can only do one. I can fit about 5mb (one song) and then no other songs.

1) How can I compress the MP3's so that I can fit more.

2) Is the size of the folder keeping me from uploading more MP3's?

Thanks

use Sony's Sound Forge (kinda expensive, but you can use the trial version for a while) to compress MP3's, or one of the other thousands of programs out there.

More info on how can be found in the site under the VX7000 FAQ pinned to the top of this thread.

ideally you should cut down your mp3s to 30 seconds or less and at a lower bit rate and mono sound, should get them down to about 100k each, then you can put about 50 or so on before you fill up your phone.

CHeck out my How to for ringers on the 8000 using bitpim

here

If you want them on as tunes dont shorten them just convert them down to 64 kbs max. I have been doing 48 kbps to save on room. You should get a 1.3- 2.5 MB file for each mp3 depending on length and the quaility you select.

How many can you fit at 1.3-2.5 mb?
